The Secretary and the Administrator must lead a joint assessment of global catastrophic risk. They must work with senior officials from many parts of the government, including the White House national security staff, science and technology offices, State, Justice and the FBI, Energy (including nuclear security), Health, Commerce, Interior and the US Geological Survey, EPA, NASA, the National Science Foundation, Treasury, Defense (including the Army Corps and Joint Chiefs), USAID, Transportation, and any other stakeholders they choose.
