6 U.S.C. § 825: Rules of construction

Summary

Keeps the Administrator’s civilian emergency management powers under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act and the Post-Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act unchanged. Nothing here replaces or takes away that authority. Does not give the Secretary any new powers. The Secretary may only help coordinate and support the creation of the assessments and reports required under this part.

(a)Administrator (b) Secretary

Nothing in this part shall be construed to supersede the civilian emergency management authority of the Administrator under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5121 et seq.) or the Post Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act (6 U.S.C. 701 et seq.).
