Within 90 days after October 13, 2006, the Secretary must set up a threat assessment screening for port truck drivers who go into secure port areas, who hold a commercial driver’s license, and who do not have a current hazardous materials endorsement under 49 CFR part 1572. The screening must include name-based checks against terrorist watch lists and an immigration-status check, and it must match the screening the Coast Guard required for facility employees and longshoremen in Coast Guard Notice USCG–2006–24189 (Federal Register, Vol. 71, No. 82, April 28, 2006).
