The Secretary of Agriculture must gather statewide or regional information on how pesticides are used to control pests and diseases on major crops and on crops important to diets, such as fruits and vegetables. The information must come from farmer surveys or other sources that provide reliable statistics. The Secretary must work with the EPA Administrator when designing the surveys and must give the Administrator the combined survey results to help the EPA.
