The Secretary of Agriculture, with the Administrator, must run research, demonstration, and education programs to promote Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM mixes biological, cultural, physical, and chemical methods to lower economic, health, and environmental risks. They must give IPM information to pesticide users, including Federal agencies. Federal agencies must use IPM for pest control and promote it in purchasing, regulations, and other activities.
