Title 7 › Chapter 6A— NATIONAL LABORATORY ACCREDITATION › § 138e
Anyone or any lab that runs, arranges, or brokers a pesticide chemical test on food must make a report and send it at the same time to the Secretary, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and the food owner whenever they find pesticide residues that: have no allowed tolerance or exemption, are above the allowed tolerance, or have a tolerance that was revoked or otherwise not allowed by the EPA. The report must be sent as soon as possible after the test is finished. The Secretary must write standard reporting rules for labs and give those rules to accredited labs and to other sources of information about pesticide tolerances.
