Requires that cornmeal, grits, rice, and white flour given out through federal programs (including school lunch and other laws) be enriched to meet federal enrichment rules under the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. These foods must be packed in sanitary containers for storage and shipping. Filled containers must not weigh more than 50 pounds unless the agency getting them asks for a larger size. Fortified parboiled rice is allowed if its nutrition is essentially the same as enriched rice. A sanitary container must keep out dirt and other foreign matter during normal shipping and handling and must not break down or contaminate the food for at least one year.
