The Secretary may create a required lamb price-reporting program to deliver fast, accurate market data, help people make better marketing choices, and boost competition in lamb slaughtering. If the program is created, the Secretary must allow public comment on the proposed rules for the 30-day period beginning on the date the proposed rules are published.
