"International food security" means people can get enough food and nutrition whenever they need it to be healthy and productive. The Secretary of Agriculture must collect and organize information from USDA program areas (including Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services) about ways to improve international food security. The Secretary must make that information available for the public and for users such as U.S. or foreign government agencies, domestic or international organizations (including NGOs), and intergovernmental bodies. The Secretary may give technical help when one of these groups asks. Priority must go to building food and nutrition safety-net systems in food-insecure countries. Up to $1,000,000 is authorized each year for fiscal years 2019 through 2023.
