Defines key words used in this part. Market means the sale or transfer of swine, pork, or pork products in commerce. Packer is defined by section 1635i. Pork is the meat of a pig. Pork product is anything made wholly or partly from pork. State means each of the 50 States. Swine means pigs raised as feeder pigs, for breeding (seedstock), or for slaughter. Type of contract groups kinds of purchase deals for swine by how the base price is set (different market or formula methods and other purchase types) and by whether there is an accrual account or ledger that must be repaid by the party who benefits. If a word is not defined here, it uses the meaning in sections 1635a or 1635i unless this part says otherwise.
