§2009aa–6 Development Planning Process

Summary

Each State member must send in a development plan for the part of the region it represents, following the rules set by the Authority. The plan must match the goals, objectives, and priorities already set in the regional development plan. When making the plan and picking projects, a State may talk with local development districts and local governments and consider their goals and recommendations. The Authority and the State and local development districts must encourage and help the public take part as much as possible when plans and programs are made, changed, or carried out. The Authority must create guidelines for public participation, including holding public hearings.
