Title 7 › Chapter 51— SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM › § 2036b
Gives the Department of Agriculture extra money to help stop trafficking in the SNAP program by making checks on recipients and retail stores stronger. Part of the money must be used for data mining, data warehousing, and other information technology to run SNAP and enforce the program’s rules. Authorizes $5,000,000 for each fiscal year 2014 through 2023. The Treasury must transfer at least $15,000,000 for fiscal year 2014, available until spent. The Agriculture Secretary must accept and use that transfer without another appropriation, and the transfer must add to, not replace, other federal funding.
