Title 7 › Chapter 55— DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE › § 2226
Starting August 31, 1951, and despite other laws, the Department may hire or contract people at regular pay to fight forest fires, control pests, and handle animals (including dairy cattle). These workers may be scheduled to work when needed, even on Sundays, Federal holidays, or outside the usual workweek.
