Title 7 › Chapter 64— AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH, EXTENSION, AND TEACHING › Subchapter X— FUNDING AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS › § 3310
Indirect costs on agricultural research, education, and extension grants must not be more than 30 percent of the federal money in the grant, as set by the Secretary. This limit applies to grants made under this Act or other Acts when the Under Secretary of Agriculture for Research, Education, and Economics has the authority to award them. The 30 percent cap also covers any subgrants, so the total indirect costs charged against the original federal funds cannot exceed 30 percent. The limit does not apply to grants awarded competitively under section 638 of title 15.
