Title 7 › Chapter 64— AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH, EXTENSION, AND TEACHING › Subchapter XII— RANGELAND RESEARCH › § 3331
Promote the public welfare by increasing how much the Nation’s rangelands produce. These lands cover 60 percent of the United States. Most cannot be farmed but grow large amounts of plant food that grazing animals turn into meat and milk. Better range management can boost forage by at least 100 percent and also help wildlife, watersheds, recreation, scenery, and cut erosion and flood risk.
