Title 7 › Chapter 69— SWINE HEALTH PROTECTION › § 3807
The Attorney General must file a lawsuit when the Secretary asks to stop someone from breaking this chapter or to force them to follow its rules. The case goes in the proper United States district court — where the person lives, does business, or where the violation happened or is about to happen. Legal papers can be served in any district where the person lives, does business, or can be found. People covered by the chapter must let an authorized representative of the Secretary, after notice and at reasonable times, inspect their place, the garbage there, and their books and records, and allow copying and reasonable sampling. For enforcement and to give information to Congress, the provisions (including penalties) of sections 46 and 48 through 50 of title 15 apply to the Secretary’s powers and to anyone subject to this chapter, whether or not a corporation. The Secretary, or agents he names, may carry out needed investigations anywhere in the United States.
