Title 7 › Chapter 71— AGRICULTURAL TRADE SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT › § 4003
The Secretary of Agriculture must study how to grow U.S. farm exports and whether those exports can be traded for natural resources or other needed goods. The Secretary must work with the U.S. Trade Representative and other agencies and send a report to the President and Congress before June 30, 1981. For the next five years, the study must look at world food, feed, and fiber needs; U.S. and world production capacity; possible new foreign markets; the chance for exchange agreements (including energy); and the steps the U.S. must take to increase exports and get needed resources by trading agricultural products.
