Title 7 › Chapter 91— LIME PROMOTION, RESEARCH, AND CONSUMER INFORMATION › § 6206
If you are covered by an order, you can ask the Secretary to change it or excuse you. You must say why the order, a part of it, or a duty tied to it is not lawful. You will get a hearing under rules the Secretary sets. After the hearing, the Secretary will decide. The Secretary’s decision is final if it follows the law. You can ask a federal district court where you live or do business to review that decision. You must file your complaint within 20 days after the Secretary’s decision. Court papers are served under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. If the court finds the decision unlawful, it will send the case back to the Secretary with instructions to make a lawful decision or take other required action. Having a petition pending does not stop the Attorney General or the Secretary from getting relief under section 6207.
