Title 7 › Chapter 93— PROCESSOR-FUNDED MILK PROMOTION PROGRAM › § 6401
Creates a national program to promote, research, and share information about fluid milk products, paid for by assessments collected from milk processors. The goal is to keep milk available, make sure people get needed nutrients like calcium, and help the dairy industry and economy by keeping markets and producer prices stable. The program must be run cooperatively and used to grow and protect markets at home and abroad. It must not replace or block individual companies’ brand advertising. The law says milk moves across state and national borders, and that a government-funded, nationwide effort to promote milk is in the public interest.
