Title 7 › Chapter 98— DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE REORGANIZATION › Subchapter X— FREEDOM TO E-FILE › § 7031
No later than 180 days after June 20, 2000, the Secretary of Agriculture must set up an Internet system so farmers and ranchers can get all agency forms online. The system covers forms from the Farm Service Agency; the Natural Resources Conservation Service; rural development field offices under the Department’s service center plan; and the Commodity Credit Corporation’s producer programs run by FSA and NRCS. The Secretary must let producers download forms and send back finished forms by fax, mail, or similar ways, make the forms easier to use with help guides, and make sure agencies use compatible computers, shared web pages, and common online tools. No later than 180 days after June 20, 2000, the Secretary must also send Congress a report on the progress.
