§7109 Administrative Provisions

Summary
Other sheep promotion, research, or information programs set up under federal or state law keep their authority and are not replaced or overridden by this chapter. Rules that apply to an order also apply to changes to that order, but the Secretary does not have to hold a referendum on a proposed change.

(a)Nothing in this chapter preempts or supersedes any other program relating to sheep promotion, research, or information organized and operated under the laws of the United States or any State.
(b)The provisions of this chapter applicable to an order shall be applicable to amendments to the order, except that the Secretary is not required to conduct a referendum on a proposed amendment to an order.
