§7654 Food Safety Research Information Office

Summary

The Secretary of Agriculture must create a Food Safety Research Information Office at the National Agricultural Library. The Office will give researchers and the public information about government-funded and, as much as possible, privately funded food safety research. It aims to stop accidental duplication of research and help federal leaders and private research groups find and set research needs and priorities. The Office will work with the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, public institutions, and voluntary private research entities.
