Title 7 › Chapter 3— GRAIN STANDARDS › § 79b
The Secretary must arrange random, regular tests of all equipment used to sample, grade, inspect, or weigh grain at any elevator, warehouse, or storage or handling place where official inspection or weighing is done under this chapter. The Secretary will make rules for the tests and may charge reasonable fees to cover testing costs; those fees go into the fund created by section 79(j) of this title. The testing can be done by Secretary employees, by States or local governments, or by people working under the Secretary’s supervision. No one may use equipment for official services under this chapter unless the Secretary has approved it.
