Title 7 › CHAPTER 108 — TREE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM › § 8204
People cannot get more than $75,000 in payments under this program, or the same value in tree seedlings. Payments also cannot cover more than 500 acres planted with trees or tree seedlings. The Secretary must write rules that say who counts as a “person” for the program. Those rules should match, as much as possible, the definition in section 1308 that existed before the change made by section 1603(a) of the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008. The Secretary must also make any other rules needed to apply these limits fairly.
