Title 7 › Chapter 109— ANIMAL HEALTH PROTECTION › § 8312
The Secretary can buy or keep land and things, hire people, give grants, and sign contracts, cooperative agreements, memorandums of understanding, or other agreements. The Secretary may pay claims for injury or damage that happen outside the United States because of activities under this law, using the process in 28 U.S.C. 2672. A claim must be written and filed with the Secretary within 2 years after it happens.
