§9205 Budget and Report

Summary

The Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and other relevant federal agency heads must together send a single, integrated budget plan for defending and protecting the U.S. food supply to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) at the same time they send their budget materials under Homeland Security Presidential Directive 9. The plan must cover the operation and use of the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility. Within 60 days after the President submits the Government’s budget under section 1105 of title 31, those same officials must send Congress a report that describes that integrated budget plan and is consistent with the President’s budget.
