Anyone who has a final order to leave the United States and who, on purpose, does any of the following can be fined or punished: refuses to leave as ordered; does not apply in good faith and on time for travel papers needed to leave; fails to show up for removal at the time and place set by the Attorney General; or works with others or acts to stop or delay the removal. This rule does not reduce or replace any other punishments that person might face under section 1253(a) or any other part of the same immigration law.
