The Comptroller General must study whether it would be possible and useful to require every nonimmigrant alien in the United States to give the Commissioner of Immigration and Naturalization a current home address each year and, if they have one, their employer’s name and address. The Comptroller General must send Congress a report with the study’s findings and any recommendations by 1 year after May 14, 2002. nonimmigrant alien — an alien described in section 1101(a)(15) of this title.
