Title 9 › Chapter 3— INTER-AMERICAN CONVENTION ON INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL ARBITRATION › § 303
A court that has authority can order the parties to hold arbitration where their agreement says, even if that place is outside the United States, and can name arbitrators; if the agreement says nothing about place or arbitrators, the court must set the place and appoint arbitrators under Article 3 of the Inter-American Convention.
