What could break it.
Geographic concentration
- India operational concentration — ~81% of employees, plus majority of engineering / customer service / IT systemsmedium
Although headquartered in San Mateo, Freshworks is operationally an India-centric company: ~3,600 employees (≈81% of its ~4,500 total) reside in India, including a majority of software engineering, plus customer service operations, IT systems and other critical business operations. The filing repeatedly flags exposure to India-specific regulatory, economic, social and policy uncertainty — FDI/FEMA foreign-investment rules, currency/exchange controls, labor-law and taxation changes, wage inflation eroding its cost advantage, and U.S. immigration changes affecting work authorizations. A disruption (policy, currency, disaster) in India would impair service delivery and margins. Customers are highly diffuse (no customer >1% of ARR), so this geographic operational concentration is its dominant structural risk. Bridged to the India node.
“As of December 31, 2025, approximately 3,600 of our employees reside in India, representing approximately 81% of our total employee population.”
