What TriMas Corporation told the SEC could break it.

2 self-disclosed vulnerabilities, pulled from its own filings — each in the company’s words, with the source. This is the risk register almost nobody reads.

A limited set so far — we surface every cited disclosure we’ve extracted for TRS. More may follow as additional filings are processed.

In its own words

What could break it.

Regulatory & policy

  • U.S. tariffs on China-imported raw materials and componentsmedium

TriMas incurred higher input costs in 2025 from U.S. tariffs on certain raw materials and components imported from China (passing some through to customers, absorbing others to retain volume); 2025 baseline and reciprocal tariffs on China and other countries create further cost/competitiveness risk.

During 2025, we experienced higher input costs as a direct result of tariffs imposed on certain raw materials and components imported from China. In certain cases, we have passed-through these incremental costs to the customer, while in some cases we have not changed pricing to retain or expand volume.

Sole-source dependency

  • single-source suppliers/subcontractors in some instancesmedium

In some instances TriMas depends on a single source of supply for components/raw materials and on subcontractors; a material service disruption (including from U.S.-China geopolitical tensions or logistics) could prevent it from meeting customer commitments or add costs and penalties.

If one or more of our suppliers or subcontractors experiences delivery delays or other performance problems, we may be unable to meet commitments to our customers or incur additional costs and penalties. In some instances, we depend upon a single source of supply.
