Atomic Energy Act Penalty Raised

If you are a licensee or person subject to Nuclear Regulatory Commission enforcement under the Atomic Energy Act, the maximum civil penalty per violation, per day is increased to $372,240. This change is effective January 15, 2025 and represents an increase of $9,426 from the prior maximum of $362,814.

Fraud Claim Penalty Increased

If you are liable under the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act and subject to NRC enforcement, the maximum civil penalty for each false claim or statement is increased to $14,308. This change is effective January 15, 2025 and represents an increase of $362 from the prior amount of $13,946.
