SNAP Interview Waiver Study (5 States)

The USDA Food and Nutrition Service will run a randomized control trial in five States to study removing the required interview for SNAP certification and how that change affects administrative efficiency, costs, benefit accuracy, and client access. The study lists 494 respondents, a total burden of 1,807.33 hours, and is submitted under OMB Control Number 0584-NEW; comments are requested by February 5, 2025. The study is authorized under Section 17 of the Food and Nutrition Act as amended by Public Law 118-5 (June 3, 2023).
