Possible Import Ban on Video Devices
The U.S. International Trade Commission is considering a limited exclusion order that would bar certain video-capable electronic devices — including computers, streaming devices, televisions, and components and modules thereof — from entry into the United States if it finds a violation of Section 337. The recommended relief as issued on December 20, 2024, targets articles imported, sold for importation, and/or sold after importation by Amazon.com, Inc. and Amazon.com Services LLC.
Potential Cease-and-Desist Orders Against Amazon
The ALJ recommended possible cease and desist orders directed to Amazon.com, Inc. and Amazon.com Services LLC if the Commission finds a Section 337 violation. The Commission is soliciting public interest submissions about the effects of such cease and desist orders on public health and welfare, U.S. competition, domestic production of like articles, and U.S. consumers.
