DOJ Sharing Data with Treasury
The Department of Justice will modify its privacy notices so DOJ can disclose records to the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Do Not Pay Working System to identify, prevent, or recoup improper payments. This change applies to anyone whose information is in DOJ systems tied to Federal funds — including applicants, recipients, award and loan recipients, vendors, contractors, and other payees — and will allow earlier vetting of eligibility in a program’s lifecycle. The public may submit comments on this notice by June 12, 2026.
