Options Traders Pay New CAT Fee
If you are an Industry Member trading options on MIAX Pearl, you'll pay a new Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) fee called CAT Fee 2025-1 at a rate of $0.000022 per executed equivalent share. MIAX Pearl will invoice CAT Executing Brokers in February 2025 for January 2025 transactions; the fee is expected to be in place for six months, intended to recover about one-half of the reasonably budgeted CAT costs for 2025, and to replace the 2024 CAT fee rate of $0.000035.
