Risk subcommittee drafts health-risk advice

The Risk Evaluation and Management Subcommittee will draft citizen-based recommendations for the Board on human and ecological health risks from historical, current, and future hazardous and radioactive legacy waste operations at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Those recommendations will be brought to the full Board for consideration.

Virtual public meeting on cleanup

You can attend a virtual meeting of the Northern New Mexico Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board on February 12, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. MST to hear presentations and discussions about cleanup activities and the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. To attend, you must contact the NNMCAB Executive Director by 5 p.m. MST on February 10, 2025.

Public comment sign-up and limits

If you want to speak at the meeting, you must sign up for public comment by contacting Bridget Maestas no later than 5 p.m. MST on February 7, 2025. Individuals who speak will have a maximum of five minutes, and written comments may be submitted before or within five days after the meeting.

Consent Order Subcommittee review

The Consent Order Subcommittee will review the 2016 Compliance Order on Consent, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses, and draft recommendations for the full Board on how to improve it. These recommendations will be considered by the Board during its work on cleanup and stewardship.
