Grant Reviews Held in Closed Session
On February 4, 2025, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Advisory Council will hold a closed session from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to review and evaluate grant applications. The closed session is to protect confidential trade secrets, commercial property (like patentable material), and personal information of people associated with the applications.
Open Session Videocast Available To Public
The meeting's open session on February 4, 2025 (9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) will be videocast and can be accessed from the NIH Videocast site or the NHLBI advisory council webpage. The notice says the videocast link will be posted within a week of the meeting date.
Public May Request To Speak (10-Day Notice)
Any member of the public who wants to present oral comments must notify the Contact Person at least 10 days before the meeting and submit a letter of intent, organization description, and a short description of the presentation. Only one representative per organization may present, presentations may be limited to five minutes, and both printed and electronic copies are requested for the record.

Individuals planning to attend the virtual meeting who need special assistance, such as sign language interpretation or other reasonable accommodations, should notify the Contact Person in advance of the meeting.
On-Campus Visitor Security Rules
If you attend the meeting on campus, NIH security procedures require showing one form of identification (for example, a government-issued photo ID, driver's license, or passport), stating the purpose of the visit, and all visitor vehicles (including taxicabs and shuttles) will be inspected before being allowed on campus.
