37.21 Acres Freed for Non‑Aviation Use
The FAA is proposing to release and allow the sale of a 37.21-acre parcel at New Century AirCenter (IXD) in New Century, Kansas so the land can be used for non-aviation purposes. The FAA found the sale will not impact future airport needs and the release will remove the parcel from AIP Grant Agreement Grant Assurances.
Airport Receives Fair Market Value Proceeds
When the 37.21-acre parcel at New Century AirCenter is sold, the airport will receive fair market value for the property in accordance with 49 U.S.C. 47107(c)(2)(B)(i) and (iii). The sale will release the land and surface rights from the conditions of the airport's AIP Grant Agreement.
