Published Date: 1/23/2025

Notice

Summary

NYSE Arca is updating its options fee schedule starting January 14, 2025. Floor Brokers will need to trade more QCC volume to earn extra credits, but they’ll also get new rebates combining QCC and manual trades. Plus, those in a special prepayment program can keep their perks even if they restructure. These changes affect Floor Brokers’ costs and rewards, making trading fees a bit more rewarding and flexible!

Analyzed Economic Effects

4 provisions identified: 3 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Higher QCC Volume Needed

Starting January 14, 2025, Floor Brokers must trade more Qualified Contingent Cross (QCC) volume to earn an additional credit under the NYSE Arca Options Fee Schedule. This change raises the QCC volume requirement that Floor Brokers must meet to receive that extra credit.

New Combined QCC/Manual Rebate

Effective January 14, 2025, NYSE Arca will offer a new rebate that is based on a Floor Broker's combined QCC and manual billable volume. Floor Brokers with both types of volume may receive this new combined rebate under the updated fee schedule.

Higher Cap on Floor Broker Credits

Beginning January 14, 2025, the Exchange will increase the maximum combined Floor Broker QCC credits and rebates that can be earned through the Manual Billable Rebate Program. This raises the cap on how much Floor Brokers can receive from combined credits and rebates.

Prepay Program Restructuring Protection

The Exchange will permit Floor Brokers who restructure while participating in the Floor Broker Fixed Cost Prepayment Incentive Program to maintain their status in that Program. This protection is effective as part of the fee schedule changes on January 14, 2025.
