Public Comment on Younger Nursing Home Residents
There will be a 40-minute public comment period on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 2:30-3:10 p.m. EST focused on experiences of younger people in nursing homes. Individuals, businesses, providers, educators, parents, and advocates may sign up to speak in person, by Zoom (time permitting), or submit comments by email.
Advanced Registration Required to Comment
To provide public comment you must register in advance either while registering for the meeting or by emailing NCD with subject line "Public Comment" and your name, organization, state, and topic. The deadline to register for public comment is March 4, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. EST.
In-Person Commenters Given Priority
The Council will prioritize in-person commenters, and will accept video or audio comments over Zoom only as time permits; advance email comments are always accepted. This means remote participants may have less chance to speak live if many in-person commenters register.
Accessibility Accommodations Provided
ASL interpreters and CART will be provided in-room and during the live Zoom stream, and CART will be available via the StreamText link. If you need additional accommodations you must notify Stacey Brown by email as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours before the meeting.
Disabled Worker Tax Misclassification Report
On Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. EST the Council will release a report titled "Disabled Worker Tax Misclassification" and hold a panel discussion on that topic. The session is intended for disabled workers, advocates, and others interested in tax issues affecting disabled workers.
