Women's sports limited to female athletes

The President directed the Department of Education and other agencies to enforce Title IX against federally funded schools and States that do not limit competition in women's sports to female athletes. The National Collegiate Athletic Association, representing 530,000 student-athletes, and State athletic associations changed policies to limit competition in women's sports to female student-athletes only.
