Big Pot Vessels Banned From Pacific Cod

If you operate a catcher vessel 60 feet (18.3 meters) or longer using pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI), you are prohibited from directed fishing for Pacific cod starting now. This action is to prevent exceeding the A season allowance of the 2025 Pacific cod total allowable catch (TAC). You will need to plan your fishing carefully to avoid penalties.
