Navy to Return Native Cultural Items

The U.S. Navy at Naval Base Coronado, San Clemente Island, intends to return unassociated funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The items will be given to lineal descendants, an Indian Tribe, or a Native Hawaiian organization with priority for disposition.
