Designated persons’ U.S. assets are blocked
OFAC placed one or more named persons on the SDN List, and all property and interests in property of those persons that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked. That means the blocked persons cannot access or move their money and property located under U.S. jurisdiction.
U.S. persons barred from dealing with SDNs
The Treasury’s OFAC added one or more people to its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). All property and interests in property of those people that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with them.
