Analyzed Economic Effects
3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
10 Gb Port Fee Rises $1,000
If you use a 10 Gb physical port to connect to Cboe BYX, the monthly fee increases from $7,500 to $8,500 per port. The change is effective immediately upon the filing on March 13, 2025, so users of 10 Gb ports will face the higher monthly charge going forward.
One Fee Covers Affiliate Access
A single 10 Gb physical port can be used to access BYX and its affiliate exchanges (including Cboe BZX, EDGX, EDGA, and C2) and the Exchange will charge only one monthly fee per 10 Gb port regardless of how many affiliate exchanges are accessed. You will not be charged separate port fees by BYX for accessing multiple affiliated exchanges through the same physical port.
1 Gb Port Price Remains $2,500
If you use a 1 Gb physical port, the monthly fee remains $2,500 and is not changed by this filing. That lower-cost option continues to be available for market participants with smaller capacity needs.
