Designated Persons' U.S. Assets Blocked
The Department of State added one or more persons to the Treasury Department's List of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN List) administered by OFAC. All property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction of those designated persons are blocked.
U.S. Persons Barred From Transactions
U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with the newly designated individuals or entities on OFAC's SDN List. These prohibitions take effect immediately and mean Americans and U.S. businesses cannot lawfully do business with those listed.
