Analyzed Economic Effects

4 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.

10 Gb Port Monthly Fee Rises $1,000

If you use a 10 Gb physical port to connect to Cboe BZX, the monthly fee increases from $7,500 to $8,500 per port. This change is effective upon filing on March 13, 2025, so you will pay $1,000 more per month (an additional $12,000 per year) for each 10 Gb port starting immediately.

One Fee Covers Multiple Affiliate Access

A single monthly fee of $8,500 will be charged per 10 Gb physical port even if that port is used to access Cboe BZX and its affiliate exchanges. You will not be charged separate monthly port fees for each affiliated exchange when using the same 10 Gb port.

Higher Fee Used to Fund Upgrades and NY6

The Exchange says the higher 10 Gb fee will help cover technology investments and ongoing costs, including switch upgrades, increased bandwidth and a new Secaucus NY6 data center made available April 1, 2024. You may see improved throughput and capacity, but you will pay the higher monthly fee that helps fund those upgrades.

1 Gb Port Fee Remains $2,500

If you use a 1 Gb physical port to connect to Cboe BZX, the monthly fee stays at $2,500 per port. This rate is not changing as part of this filing.
