Rule

Summary

Starting now, boats using jig gear can’t fish for Pacific cod in the Central Gulf of Alaska to keep the 2025 catch limits from being broken. This affects fishermen who use jig gear and helps protect the fish population for the season. It’s all about making sure we don’t catch too many cod too fast!
