Academic Discount for Historical Reports
Cboe BYX now offers qualifying academic purchasers a discounted price for historical U.S. Equity Short Volume and Trades Reports effective April 23, 2025. The academic price is the greater of (i) a 50% discount off the purchaser's total historical Short Volume Report purchase or (ii) $500.
Who Qualifies for Academic Pricing
To get the academic discount, a purchaser must be an accredited academic institution that will use the data only for independent academic research, academic journals and publications, teaching and classroom use, or other bona fide educational purposes, and limit use to faculty and students. Academic pricing is not available for commercial or profit-seeking use or for research funded by a securities industry participant.
Restrictions on Use and Redistribution
Historical Short Volume Reports are provided for display use only and purchasers of historical reports may not charge separately for the data or incorporate it into a product for monetization. The Exchange will require a brief application and may review and request additional information before approving academic pricing.
